Ontario committee members were fortunate to hear from Tim Hudak, Chief Executive, High-Impact Advocacy, Thought Leader on September 16. His presentation was insightful and valuable to our members as they continue to engage with the government at all levels pushing for energy choice.
The CPA hosted an engaging and insightful seminar for our members in B.C. on September 17, where leaders and experts shared their perspectives on the future of the propane sector. Key topics covered included the upcoming election and post-election advocacy, policies and regulations affecting our sector, and why affordability is becoming a key concern among municipalities. The CPA was a proud sponsor of the 11th Annual Resource Breakfast Series held in Vancouver on Sept. 17-19. This fantastic event brought together mayors, councillors, resource sector leaders, and the provincial government to discuss the latest news and developments impacting B.C.’s mining, energy, and forestry sectors. We had the privilege to meet with several B.C. leaders, including Minister Nathan Cullen. The event was an excellent opportunity to explore innovative solutions and sustainable practices shaping the province’s future. The remainder of the week was spent at the Union of BC Municipalities engaging in discussions on the future of B.C.’s energy sector.
