Two types of patio heaters are available on the market: stand-up and portable, or ceiling/ wall-mounted that can be controlled remotely. Regardless of the preferred option, propane patio heaters offer superior thermal performance, which can increase the ambient temperature by up to 10 °C (25 °C) within a perimeter of just under 8 m (25 ft). They are also more cost-effective than electric patio heaters as a small 20-pound tank can heat a deck up to 10 hours.
