Urge Senators to support Canadian farmers by restoring Bill C-234 to its original form.
The proposed amendments by some Members of the Senate Standing Committee on Agriculture and Forestry would remove the heating and cooling of barns and greenhouses from Bill C-234, An Act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act.
Bill C-234 would exempt low-emission fuels such as propane and natural gas from the carbon tax under the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act. Similar exemptions already apply to high-emission fuels such as gasoline and diesel under the GGPPA.
Help keep the bill intact and join us in calling on the Senate to reject the amendments.
