OTTAWA, March 18, 2022 – The CPA warns the public that information has been received of an individual identifying himself as a CPA employee and requesting residents sign a form and provide SIN numbers and driver licence information in the context of legal action about water tanks.
THIS IS A SCAM. If this happens to you, please report the incident to your local police immediately. The CPA does not send employees door-to-door or request personal sensitive information from the public.
Currently, the CPA is only aware of one incident that occurred in the area of Mississauga, ON.
