Marcel is a highly experienced safety professional, instructor, and writer who has a genuine passion for training and the propane industry.  He has almost 20 years of comprehensive experience spanning various facets of the industry, including propane dispensing, inspections/recertifications, and vehicle conversions, along with temporary construction heat, bulk truck operations, and propane transportation.

Marcel’s previous roles at Berja Meter & Controls and Mutual Propane Ltd have shaped his expertise in instrument certification, pressurized gas installations, fabrication, health and safety, fleet maintenance, alternative fuel conversion, training, and regulatory compliance. He has a deep understanding of the codes and standards that govern Canada’s propane industry in addition to federal, provincial, and municipal regulations relating to propane and workplace safety. Marcel’s positive relationships with the authorities having jurisdiction will help ensure alignment with PTI’s training materials.

Additionally, Marcel has over a decade of instructing experience, and curriculum management and development, in addition to the extensive contribution to PTI’s own training materials. With his wealth of expertise and knowledge, Marcel will be a valuable asset to the team. Jim has an impressive career spanning over 25 years in leadership, customer service, and operational management within the propane industry, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role of Business Development Manager. Jim’s journey in the propane industry began at a young age, working in his family’s propane company, and has since held key positions of field operations manager at Superior Propane and general manager at Highlands Propane.

Throughout his career, Jim has demonstrated his proficiency in various aspects of the propane business, including the safe and efficient transportation, distribution, and handling of propane products, equipment, and services. His strong focus on relationship management has been instrumental in delivering outstanding customer service experiences and establishing a strong track record of success. Additionally, Jim holds certification from the Propane Training Institute, ensuring his thorough understanding of the latest rules and regulations governing propane operations.

Jim’s extensive experience and unwavering passion for the propane industry make him a valuable addition to the PTI team. With his exceptional skills and dedication, Jim will play a vital role in driving the success of PTI and its mission.
